Sharon D. Jones is a nationally recognized nonprofit strategist, fundraising architect, and organizational development expert with more than 30 years of experience helping mission-driven organizations transition from surviving to thriving. As the Founder and CEO of Nonprofit Solutions Matter, Inc., a registered 501c3 organization. She has raised over $550 million for nonprofits across the United States and internationally.
Nonprofit Solutions Matter, serves as a strategic partner to organizations seeking to build sustainable infrastructures, strengthen their boards, and develop comprehensive resource development systems. Sharon and her team provide specialized services in fundraising infrastructure and activation, board empowerment, organizational development, strategic planning, donor engagement, and wealth screening, equipping nonprofits to achieve measurable and lasting impact.
Sharon’s portfolio includes collaborations with leading organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Rescue Democracy International, The Debbie Franceus Memorial Aviation Foundation, and numerous foundations and faith-based institutions. Her innovative fundraising models—such as the Market Study & Donor Acquisition Program, Nonprofit Starter Pack, and Four-Phase Resource Development Plan—have positioned her as a sought-after expert for nonprofits, municipalities, and corporations seeking to align philanthropy with sustainable growth.
In addition to her consulting work, Sharon is an license minister and holds a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University, as well as certifications as a Certified Nonprofit Executive (CNE), Certified Development Executive (CDE), and Certified Nonprofit Consultant (CNC).
Her international work extends to DR Congo, Uganda, Panama, the UK, Dubai, and Canada, where she helps organizations and corporate partners develop community engagement and CSR strategies. A dynamic trainer and speaker, Sharon leads global webinars and workshops on topics such as nontraditional revenue generation, corporate partnerships, board engagement, and donor cultivation.
