As a woman-owned and led consulting firm serving the nonprofit sector, Solutions Matter is committed to addressing the inequities that newly formed nonprofits face. We recognize that starting, growing, and sustaining your nonprofit is hard. Finding motivated, committed, and experienced board members can sometimes be challenging. Lack of funding, staff, and access to supporters can kill your organization. Why let your clients, program participants, and supporters down?

Our pro bono program supports nonprofit organizations with an annual budget of $5 million or less whose work focuses on serving people in marginalized communities. We encourage all organizations to apply, and we are especially interested in organizations whose work primarily supports women who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled, or those from other marginalized groups.

Applicant Organizations Must

Be a US 501c3 organization incorporated five years or less;

Be an international non-governmental organization (NGO) operating for 5 years or less;

Have an annual budget of $5 million or less;

Have a designated staff member or volunteer leader who will serve as a point of contact for the consulting team;

Be available for a virtual video conference interview if selected as a finalist. In alignment with our commitment to support small nonprofit organizations, we prioritize organizations led by a BIPOC leader with a diverse board and leadership.

Application Process and Timeline

Applications are due by Friday, July 11, 2025. Five finalists will be selected to move on to the interview phase. These applicants will be notified via email by Friday, August 1, 2025. Interviews will occur on Thursday and Friday, August 21st and 22nd, and winners will be announced in mid-September. Projects will kick off in Fall 2025.
